seen from I-81 in Virginia. |

I first noticed this little
military truck on the TV series "The Unit". This one was on a
"parking lot" traveling somewhere. A parking lot is trucker slang
for a car hauler. |

This is George and Nancy the
owners and builders of the custom trike above. I enjoyed meeting
George and Nancy at the Conoco in Conway , Missouri. They are
members of the Route 66 chapter of the Brothers of the Third Wheel. |

This is known as Idleaire. A
truck parks and then the yellow hose is attached to the right side
of the cab. You get air conditioning, television with current in
theatre movies, electricity, internet access, telephone, all without
the truck idling. It can be expensive. |
|
|
|
|
 |
As you can see truckers park in
Idleaire as a last resort. |

Tennessee wants to limit the
amount of time a trucker can sleep in a rest area. Virginia is the
same. What do you think of that Mothers Against Tired Truckers of

The people at the DC told me
it's an old civil war graveyard. They said people show up about once
a year and mow the grass and clean it up. God bless those

The yellow box is new
technology in the trucking industry. It is magnetically attached to
a trailer after entering a facilities yard. They track the trailers
with the antenna system in the next photo. |

on route 340 near Winchester, Virginia. |

And if the
dinosaurs weren't scary enough, look at that diesel price. It is
literally scaring drivers to death. They don't know what to do.
They want the nanny government to help them. Do you think W will
try to help the little truck drivers. |

I saw
this trailer (the small yellow motorcycle trailer) being
pulled by a fifth wheel camper rig on the New Jersey turnpike

It was
